The Aberdeenshire project has allowed us to roll out best practice models across the organisation from the success of CLP in Aberdeen City. The service currently supports around 40 people, and provides individualised and varied services to people with learning disabilities in a variety of settings.
Over the last year, the service has been developing social support programmes. This has been in direct response to an increasing need to support people to make new friends, develop social networks and provide emotional support.
The highlights of the year have been the “Guys and Dolls” club and “Ready Steady Cook”. Both groups provide social opportunities whilst integrating essential life skills training.
